Our company began life in 2004 as Wolf Training and Development. We concentrated then on various training programs and custom presentations. By 2009 we realized that our true love was developing leaders and we changed the organization’s name to Wolf Leadership Development.
We refined our already developing coaching capabilities and became certified by the International Coaching Counsel. As it turned out, this was our destiny. Many years in operational and leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies gave us great insight into the needs and opportunities for leadership development. We also must thank our years of work with the University of Texas, San Antonio Small Business Development Center for allowing us to grow our small business coaching experience as well.
Over the years we have been able to work with large companies such as Lockheed Martin and Providence Health and Services as well as smaller organizations like the San Antonio River Authority and Defense Consulting Services. We continue to expand not only our customer base, but also our national reach through partnerships, writing and various forms of media.
Leading our individual and organizational excellence team is Dr. Mike Farlow. He is a human behavior specialist, speaker and master coach who helps professionals become more effective leaders and improve relationships with others. He has more than thirty years’ experience in the public and private sectors, ranging from a career as a naval aviator to management and senior executive positions in corporations such as Alcoa, McDonnell Douglas, Dell Computer, Teledyne, and CACI International. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and has earned master’s degrees in management and technology and a doctorate in organizational leadership.
Engaged in the local community, Dr. Farlow is a past adjunct professor at Concordia University and guest columnist for the San Antonio Express News. He is also the author of Leaders are Made Not Born: 40 Simple Skills to Make You the Leader You Want to Be.
He is a national member of the Association for Talent Development, The American Psychological Association and the Society for Neuroscience.
